Dimensions:  4 1/4" Tall x 11" Long x 6" Wide

Condition:  Very good pre-owned vintage condition. Minor wear/loss of silver due to age and use. No chips or cracks in glass bowls. Please see photos. 

Details: Footed silverplate stand with two cut glass open bowls and one jam spoon.  Stand is one flat piece with center recurved handle, two round holes and four curved applied feet.  Flat surface edge is chased and embossed in a wide border of floral and curve elements. Outer edge is lightly crimped.  Recurved handle is applied at center top.  Holes accommodate two cut glass open bowls with recessed, starburst cut centers and vertical cuts around bottom of each bowl. Bottom center panel is stamped with the Atkin Brothers marks of HA, EA, and FA in individual rectangles with EPNS in an additional rectangle laid perpendicular to the others.  This stands for electroplated nickel silver.  A numeral 4 and some additional marks re also present on bottom.  A single plain silverplate jam spoon is included, marked only with an O in an oval near the bowl.

Atkin Brothers was the final name of a silversmith business that had practiced in the Sheffield, England area from 1773 until 1955.  From 1925 they manufactured a wide range of silver, electroplate, and Brittania metal, supplying several companies in Great Britain and Australia.
